How volunteering works

Sign up
Fill in the form on the website. It takes about two minutes.

Check your email
Click the pink “Verify my email” button in the message we send you. This step is the one people miss.

Sign in to your portal
See the job you have been given, along with any instructions and training for it.

Words used on the site
- Portal
- Your personal page on the website, after you sign in.
- Role (or assignment)
- The job you will do on event day, such as “Water Station”.
- Verify
- Proving your email address is real by clicking the link we email you.
- Invite link
- A web address a group leader shares so their members can join.
- Group leader
- The person who signed the group up and manages its members.
- Coordinator
- Making Strides staff who assign roles and manage everything.
